Congratulations! VanCore Toastmasters…it’s official. We are now a Distinguished Club. Thanks to dedicated member Mary Lou Miles, Immediate Past President of the Sunshine Rotarian Club in Richmond, she promised to have her 10th Speech done before the end of June and she did.
Also, thanks to all members for contributing to this achievement by joining VanCore and working on the Manual Speeches, etc.
Clubs are rated by a 10 Point Distinguished Club Program (DCP) by Toastmasters International, based on: Having at least 20 members; Officers on the Board of Directors attend training twice a year; Dues are paid on time; Attaining at least 8 new members during the Term;Completion of Competent Communicator and Advanced Manual Speeches, etc.
Clubs that achieve:
- 5 points out of 10 become designated Distinguished Clubs
- 7 points out of 10 become designated Select Distinguished Clubs
- 9/10 points out of 10 become President’s Distinguished Clubs
All members will be encouraged to sign up to do their speeches as we aim for the President’s Distinguished in the new term beginning on July 1st, 2012. Your executive heading Vancore Toastmaster’s will be by Connies Hubbs — President; Cory Forrest–VP of Education; Borzo Salehi–VP of Membership; Loa Fridfinnson–VP of Public Relations/Web Master; Victor He–Treasurer; Debra Jang–Secretary; Susan Chew, Immediate Past President will serve as Sergeant-at-Arms.
