How Toastmasters Work
The Toastmasters system offers a proven and enjoyable way to practice communication and leadership skills. The Pathways Learning Experience offers a series of self-paced speaking projects in an online education program designed to help you build the unique competencies you need to communicate and lead.
What is the purpose of weekly meetings?
Knowledge is useless until you put it into consistent action and practice. Our weekly meetings offers ample opportunities to practice in a learn-by-doing workshop where participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings, serve as officers in various leadership roles and learn rules related to timing and grammar.
